Packing

Each handmade piece is packed by hand in the studio and double-boxed, the ceramic suspended clear of all six walls of the outer box.

Where work ships

Work ships from Iceland. Shipping cost and delivery estimate for your country are confirmed by email before payment. Questions about a destination: write to the studio.

Timing

Available pieces are dispatched within a few working days of the order. International parcels from Iceland typically take one to three weeks, depending on country and customs.

Import duties or VAT charged by your country on arrival are the buyer's responsibility — this is standard for goods shipped from Iceland, which is outside the EU customs area. For the United States, the import duty and how it is paid are confirmed by email before payment, together with the shipping cost.

If a piece arrives damaged

Photograph the box and the piece as they arrived and email info@matiasspreiss.com within 48 hours of delivery. You will be refunded or, where a comparable piece exists, offered a replacement; as most pieces are unique, an exact replacement is usually not possible.

Returns

If a piece is not right for you, you have a legal 14-day right of withdrawal: email the studio within 14 days of delivery, then send the piece back within 14 days of that notice, in its original double-boxed packing. Return shipping is paid by the buyer; a tracked, insured service is strongly recommended. The refund — the piece plus the original standard delivery cost — goes to your original payment method once the piece arrives back intact.
